Hot!

Hey, I forgot about another important treatment mom is going through. It is called Hyperthermia. Research shows that cancer cells die quicker than normal cells at elevated body temperatures.

Here's some key points and info:

Key Points
  • Hyperthermia is a type of cancer treatment in which body tissue is exposed to high temperatures (up to 113°F) to damage and kill cancer cells.
  • Hyperthermia is almost always used with other forms of cancer therapy, such as radiation therapy and chemotherapy.
  • Several methods of hyperthermia are currently under study, including local, regional, and whole-body hyperthermia.
  • Many clinical trials (research studies) are being conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of hyperthermia.
http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/factsheet/Therapy/hyperthermia is a website where you can learn more about hyperthermia.

I love this blog! What a great way to keep us updated without the added stress of calling everyone all the time! We of course are thinking and praying daily and are so glad to be taking this "journey" with you all. The more friends and family on the trip providing support and encouragement the better! Tell Jane and Dave we love them, and you guys as well ;)

Hey B,

Thanks for all the details! It's too late to call tonight, but I'll call your dad tomorrow. Really loved the part about the wheatgrass smoothie...I can only imagine him shaking his head and thinking: 'You've got to be kidding me...drinking grass...'
Your family continues to be lifted up in the prayers of ours.
